Recommended book: Mindfulness for runners

Many times we conceive of running as something purely physical, when in reality it is also important to strengthen and train the mental part. If you are sure runners that I have given account of the multiple benefits that has run on the mind. Today we propose practicing the mindfulness while you do the running at the same time. Do you feel like?

The mindfulness is a practice based on Eastern philosophy that combines physical and mental exercises. In this way, gets to experience conscious attention and get benefits for body and mind. What do they think the runners? When we run are accustomed to leave blank mind and focus on physical exercise: but can also work the mind. It is only a matter of try and go running like we do every day. It is important to change the chip to get satisfactory results.

'Mindfulness for Runners' wants to work exercises to enhance the mind at the same time that we run and exercise the body. Written by Moi GonzĂ lez and Montse RodrĂguez, consists of 56 mindfulness and running sessions grouped in 3 blocks: body, reconnects and awareness. One of them mantras that we proposed this book to make during a session of running is the "I can". Is important breathing slowly and deeply and remember any situation adverse that have passed recently. Revivelo all in your mind and remembers the exact moment he got to overcome that adversity.

If you are part of the Group of runners who prefer to go running at night, the mantra "Roll with the night" is perfect for you. The darkness is relaxing, favors a greater concentration in what we are doing and activate our mode of alert. Merge into the environment and enjoy the dark while we run is a good way of applying the mindfulness to our exercise routine. Images: running, runners, planet of books.
